Hanna Henriksson is currently a postdoctoral fellow at the Research Institute of Sport and Health (iMUDS) and a member of the PROFITH group.
Hanna finished her Bachelor in Nutrition and degree as a clinical dietitian at Umeå University, Sweden, in 2001. After her degree, she has worked as a clinical dietitian for 15 years. Due to her interest in children’s health, she started as a PhD-student at Linköping University, Sweden, along with her clinical work as a dietitian. The overall aim of the PhD-project was to investigate early life mechanisms of obesity. Hanna defended her PhD-thesis 1 June 2015. In August 2016, Hanna began a 16-month postdoctoral fellowship with Dr. Francisco B Ortega which was funded by The Swedish Society of Medicine and the County Council of Östergötland, Sweden.
Hannas research interests include childhood obesity, physical activity and fitness, nutrition, cognition and mobile health applications. She is currently participating in several ongoing international collaborations. Hanna has published 8 scientific articles and she is the first author in 3 of them.
