First “For an Active Childhood” Award granted by COLEF-Andalucía to Cristina Cadenas and her collaborators
Cristina Cadenas Sánchez, researcher from the PROFITH research group, has been honored with the First “For an Active Childhood” Award
The project “Spanish Coalition for a Fit Childhood” was recognized for its outstanding contribution to improving the physical and mental health of children and adolescents, particularly those in vulnerable situations. The initiative promotes physical exercise programs and the standardized assessment of physical fitness, becoming an exemplary model of scientific transfer into real-world actions that enhance children’s well-being.
This work was led by Cristina Cadenas Sánchez, in collaboration with Francisco B. Ortega and Jonatan R. Ruiz from the PROFITH group at the University of Granada, Idoia Labayen from the Public University of Navarra, and Javier Brazo from the Pablo de Olavide University.
