Jonatan R Ruiz is Associate Professor at the Faculty of Sport Sciences at the University of Granada (Spain). Jonatan has a Degree in Physical Education, a second Degree in Sport Sciences in the University of Granada (Spain). He also has a PhD in Exercise Physiology from the University of Granada (Spain), and a second PhD in Medical Sciences from the Karolinska Institutet (Sweden). He was the first Ramón y Cajal Research Fellow in Spain (2011-2016) with the Sport Sciences degree.

His research focuses on physical activity and clinical epidemiology to study the interaction between physical activity, fitness, features of the metabolic disorders, and genetics.
